Our Alchemist, fresh off endless anniversary shenanigans and an extended journey to the promised land (West Coast USA), is back with yet another skaze bomb. This one features our 2021 Citra, Wakatu and a couple boxes of 2021 Galaxy for good measure. The Alchemist realized (not that he had ever forgotten) during his brief retreat and chats with his wizard counterparts overseas just how important hop quality and character are to a beer - in Mochimune it can be daunting to get our hands on the good stuff (or even lots that fit the aroma/flavor/sensory profile we are aiming for), and sourcing is certainly going to be one of the more important goals for our Hop Heroes going forward. Anyway back to the beer. Fans say that FHA versions are better when odd numbered? They are about to be blown away. v24 has semi-sweet notes of vanilla and lemon meringue/coconut on the nose, but hit the palate with a mega silky, super dank mango/pineapple burst with ample help from our Southern Hemisphere lupulin friends, finishing dry and easy drinking with next to no hop burn/residual bitterness. Pretty much how we designed it amirite? Drinks sensational (dare I even say thirst-quenchingly good) in the blazing Japanese heat, even for 8.5%.
